How to connect a WhatsApp Business channel via edna

Create a new bot on your edna account and get your API token.

Note

Before you connect a Whatsapp Business channel via edna, you need to create a Facebook Business Manager account. See information on how to create a Facebook Business Manager account here.

  1. Log in to your edna account.

  2. In the right upper corner, click your profile icon and select Profile from the drop-down list.

  3. In the profile window, go to Templates of service messages and click the side arrow.

  4. In the Templates window, click Create.

  5. Fill in the mandatory fields.

  6. Click Submit to registration.

After edna accepts your application, you receive edna subject and API Token and need to provide data to the Voximplant Kit support for internal configuration. To get edna subject and API token, do the following:

  1. In the edna account, click Dashboard and copy your edna subject.

  1. To copy your API Token, click Profile in the right upper corner, go to the API Token section and copy the generated API Token.

  1. While you are still viewing the API Token section, enter the callback URL generated in your Voximplant Kit account.

To configure your Whatsapp chatbot in Voximplant Kit, do the following:

  1. Log in to your Voximplant Kit account.

  2. Select Settings > Channels and click Whatsapp.

  3. Enter the phone number in the Channel name and Sender number fields.

  4. Enter the name you want to be displayed in the chatbot in the Client ID field.

You need to provide edna subject and API token you received to the Voximplant Kit support for internal configuration.

  1. The Access token, Refresh token, and Secret ID fields are filled in automatically.

  2. In the Redirect channel messages field, select the department you want to redirect messages.

  3. Add skills, if needed.

  4. Click Save changes.
