Additional API access setting – allowed IP addresses/networks

lock-24-512Some of our developers asked if there was a way to restrict access to VoxImplant HTTP API and only allow it for certain IP addresses or networks when api_key is being used. Today we updated the service and this setting is now available for all VoxImplant developers. It can be set in API Access part of the control panel.

Call tracking lets you analyze the effectiveness of marketing channels and optimize your campaigns accordingly. It’s easy to implement call tracking using VoxImplant and get all information about calls going via the system, including dialed number, time of day it was dialed, call duration, number where it was forwarded, call record and much more. You can get phone numbers either from VoxImplant directly, or connect your own phone numbers using SIP trunk.

Good customer service is one of the critical components of the successful business these days. Many interactions with customers happen over the phone when they making calls to company’s call center and, since it’s rather expensive to keep a big number of agents in the call center, customers have to spend their time in a queue listening to some music and waiting for the answer. Fortunately, there is a solution for this problem – queue with callback function. IVR tells customer that he can press some key (for example, # or *) to hangup the call, but stay in the queue. After customer’s position in the queue was reached, system connects agent with the customer by calling customer’s number. It’s rather expensive module in case of Enterprise call center solutions, but with VoxImplant any developer can implement this type of queue in a few minutes.

Using VoxImplant ChildAccounts

There are number of VoxImplant entities developers work with and it’s important to understand user and account management to design your application properly. VoxImplant application users reflect end users of the application, and VoxImplant developer can control each user account balance by setting parent_accounting to false or specifying this setting in Control Panel (Separate account balance) while creating/editing the app user. It’s possible to transfer funds from developer account to the app user account and back using TransferMoneyToUser function.
